Descriptions
Read a short description of the included themes.
Music from City Depths Volume 1: Into the Underground Reservoir
Mysterious and sorrowful, this is an introduction to the dark and dismal underworld. Features a haunting melody on a piano and supported by orchestra.
Music from City Depths Volume 1: Into the Sewer Access System
Darker and deeper, this builds suspense, with the orchestra becoming and dominating a piano. Some more modern tones and drums accompany.
Music from City Depths Volume 1: The Black Market
Below the surface, an underworld awaits including the Black Market - this theme increases energy levels with strong rolling drums and moments of dispair. Portions easily workable as combat music.
Music from City Depths Volume 1: The Flushing Station
Drums, piano and synthesizer give a slightly more modern sound with a regular energy, as if following the progress of characters descending into a dangerous area. The flushing station is the very last place in the Old City you will find a guard.
Music from City Depths Volume 1: Smuggler's Hall
Below the newer water and sewer works are ancient tunnels that lead to Smuggler's Hall - a vast chamber which has ledges and a water filled floor, where you find the floating log town of Smuggler's Hall. You can find anything for sale here. Dark tones follow a perilous melody and blend into an almost noble high point in this soundtrack.
Music from City Depths Volume 1: Smuggler's Port
This track blends horns and strings in a distant echo - sorrowful but not particularly threatening, with supporting piano and drums. This track is perfect for the depiction of plight; fleeing to the dark places of the world for sanctuary.
Music from City Depths Volume 1: The Abandoned Catacombs
This track has a memorable beat and theme - built around a rising suspicion and tension - almost to the point of horror. Then it has a sudden turn around to become more sorrowful rather than terrifying.
Music from City Depths Volume 1: The Hidden Temple of Set
This track has a very strong middle eastern or Egyptian character in its drum beats and supporting woodwinds. It conveys a sense of growing danger rather than humor, with background faux vocals and accelerated play. A perfect accompanyment to entering the diabolical secret lair of an evil cult.
